Smartphones are growing in size with each new generation, but it seems that one company has decided to take a completely different approach.
Unihertz aims to launch the world's smallest smartphone, with 4G connectivity, at affordable prices, and offer the same functionality as the most expensive models.

The phone ($ 109) could become a reality after the company's financing campaign achieved its goals.

A group of experts in Shanghai, who have 10 years of experience in the manufacture of smart phones, created a "Jelly" phone.
The innovative phone features a fast processor, with a large memory and storage space. The funding campaign exceeded its target very quickly, with around 2,900 supporters pledging $ 270,000, and 33 days to finish the campaign.
The phone is expected to start charging in August 2017, and will not be a substitute for larger smartphones, but is an additional multi-spec device.

Two versions of the phone will be sold, with the Jelly Pro model at $ 125, featuring 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
The standard Jelly version will have 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and the two models come with a 1.1 GHz quad-core processor.

The small Jelly phone supports the Android 7.0 Noga system, with two SIM cards. The handset features a 2.45-inch LCD display and a 950 mAh battery, enough to make the phone 3 days in a row.

Unihertz previously designed a miniature mobile phone called Micro X, which relied on consumer feedback to improve initial design.
